This Privacy Policy explains how Bible Chat ("Bible Chat", "we", "us", or "our"), a service operated by VPN Master Pro, collects, uses, and shares information when you use our mobile app and related websites and services (the "Service"). By using the Service, you agree to this Policy.
1. Who we are
The Service is operated by VPN Master Pro, located at [Company Address]. For privacy questions, contact us at support@vpnmasterpro.com.
2. Information we collect
Account information
When you create an account we collect identifiers such as your name and email address. You can sign in with Sign in with Apple or Google Sign-In; these providers share basic profile information with us. If you use Apple's "Hide My Email", we receive a private relay address instead of your real email. You may also start with an anonymous account and later link it to a sign-in method.
Faith & personalization profile
To personalize your experience you may provide details such as username and avatar, and onboarding answers including your goals and interests, age range, gender, church, denomination, and preferred Bible translation.
Content you create
- Conversations: the questions and messages you send to the AI, and your chat history.
- Voice: when you use voice conversations, audio captured from your microphone is processed to transcribe your speech and generate a response.
- Prayer & community: prayer requests you submit and any comments or reactions you make.
- Bible activity: saved/favorited verses, highlights, reading progress, streaks, and blessing-partner pairings.
Usage & device information
We automatically collect technical information such as device type and operating system, app version, language, approximate region, IP address, and interactions within the app. We use the Branch SDK for deep links and install attribution, which may process device and usage data to measure how people find the Service.
Purchases
If you buy a subscription, the purchase is processed by Apple through the App Store and managed via RevenueCat. We receive your subscription status and related transaction identifiers. We do not receive or store your full payment card details.
Notifications
If you grant permission, we may use a device push token to send notifications (for example, prayer or reading reminders). You can disable notifications in your device settings at any time.
3. How we use information
- Provide, operate, and maintain the Service, including AI answers, the Bible reader, prayer community, and content library.
- Personalize content, recommendations, daily journeys, and answer style to your preferences.
- Create and secure your account and authenticate you.
- Process subscriptions and manage entitlements.
- Send service-related and, where permitted, reminder notifications.
- Understand usage, fix bugs, improve features, and ensure safety and integrity.
- Comply with legal obligations and enforce our Terms of Service.
We rely on legal bases including performance of our contract with you, your consent (for example, microphone and notifications), our legitimate interests in operating and improving the Service, and compliance with law.
4. AI features & how your prompts are processed
Bible Chat uses OpenAI to power its AI features, including text chat, real-time voice conversation, speech transcription and synthesis, and AI assistance for prayer requests. When you use these features, the relevant content — such as your messages, voice audio, and prayer text — is sent to OpenAI to generate a response. This content is processed to provide the feature to you.
AI responses are generated automatically and may be inaccurate or incomplete. They are provided for reflection and study and are not a substitute for professional, pastoral, medical, mental-health, or legal advice. See the AI disclaimer in our Terms of Service.
5. How we share information
We do not sell your personal information. We share information only as described below:
- Service providers / processors that help us run the Service, including OpenAI (AI chat, voice, transcription, text-to-speech), Apple and Google (sign-in), RevenueCat and Apple (subscriptions), Branch (deep links/attribution), and our hosting and database infrastructure.
- Community features: content you choose to share publicly — such as prayer requests, comments, and reactions — may be visible to other users. Do not include sensitive information you do not want others to see.
- Legal & safety: when required by law, legal process, or to protect the rights, safety, and security of users, the public, or the Service.
- Business transfers: in connection with a merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of assets, subject to this Policy.
6. Data retention
We keep personal information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service, then for as long as necessary to meet legal, accounting, or reporting requirements. You can delete your account at any time (see Your rights below), after which we delete or de-identify your personal information within a reasonable period, except where retention is required by law.
7. Security
We use technical and organizational measures to protect your information, including encryption of data in transit (HTTPS/TLS) and authenticated, token-based access to your account. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
8. Your rights & choices
- Access & update: view and edit your profile in the app's account settings.
- Delete: delete your account from within the app to remove your personal information.
- Permissions: control microphone and notification access in your device settings.
- Regional rights: depending on where you live (for example, the EEA/UK under GDPR, or California under the CCPA/CPRA), you may have rights to access, correct, delete, port, or restrict processing of your personal information, and to object or withdraw consent. To exercise these rights, contact us at support@vpnmasterpro.com.
9. Children's privacy
The Service is not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age required in your country), and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has provided us personal information, contact us at support@vpnmasterpro.com and we will delete it.
10. International data transfers
We and our service providers may process your information in countries other than your own, including the United States, which may have different data-protection laws. Where required, we use appropriate safeguards for such transfers.
11. Changes to this policy
We may update this Policy from time to time. We will post the updated version here and revise the "Last updated" date, and where appropriate provide additional notice in the app.
